JOB SUMMARY: Project Manager- Health Insurance

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team, focusing on medium to large sized projects within the health insurance sector. This role involves working closely with business partners to identify and implement project scopes, with an emphasis on end-to-end process optimization. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in project management, a deep understanding of the health insurance industry, and a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion with limited guidance.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Collaborate with Business and IT Stakeholders to define project parameters including scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress as a Project Manager- Health Insurance.
  • Manage project milestones, deliverables, and change requests effectively.
  • Implement change management techniques to adjust project scope, schedule, and costs as necessary.
  • Conduct risk management activities to minimize project risks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for communicating project updates, milestones, and pertinent information to all stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Ensure comprehensive project documentation is created and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilize project management methodologies to achieve project goals within defined parameters.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • MBA or equivalent degree.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • A minimum of 10 years of project management experience (Senior Project Managers) or 5 years (Project Managers).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, OneNote), Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint is required to be a Project Manager- Health Insurance.
  • Experience with JIRA will be preferred.
  • At least 5 years (Senior Project Managers) or 3 years (Project Managers) of experience in the Health Insurance Industry (Payer).
