JOB SUMMARY: Scrum Master/ Project Manager

As a Scrum Master/Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects while fostering an agile and collaborative environment. You will be responsible for guiding cross-functional teams through the Scrum framework, managing project timelines, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Scrum Master Duties:
    • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Coach and mentor team members on Scrum practices and Agile principles to ensure adherence and continuous improvement.
    • Remove impediments that hinder the team’s progress and work to resolve conflicts within the team as a Scrum Master/ Project Manager.
    • Work closely with the Product Owner to manage the product backlog, prioritize tasks, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Project Manager Duties:
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders and adjusting plans as necessary.
    • Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure effective communication and collaboration among all project participants.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
    • Foster a positive team environment that promotes productivity, creativity, and high performance.
    • Collect and analyze project metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

Qualifications: for a Scrum Master/ Project Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP, CSM, or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or similar role in an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle complex issues effectively.
