JOB SUMMARY: Sr. BI Consultant

As a Senior BI Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive BI solutions that meet our clients’ needs. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data requirements, develop advanced analytics models, and deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions. Your expertise in BI tools and data analysis will be crucial in helping our clients harness the full potential of their data.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business needs and translating them into BI solutions. Lead client meetings and presentations to discuss requirements, project status, and deliverables.
  • BI Solution Design: Design and develop complex BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Ensure solutions are tailored to client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Data Analysis: Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Utilize statistical methods and machine learning techniques to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Integration: Oversee the integration of data from various sources into BI systems. Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize BI solutions for performance and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data accuracy, system performance, and user access.
  • Project Management: Manage BI projects from inception to completion, including scope definition, timeline management, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to clients and internal team members on BI tools and best practices. Develop user manuals and documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging BI technologies. Recommend and implement new tools and techniques to continuously improve our BI offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Business Intelligence Professional) are a plus.
  • Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in a BI role, with a strong background in designing and implementing BI solutions. Proven experience working with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for advanced analytics is advantageous.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
