In his recent role as a Payment Integrity Consultant, Chad executed a rapid assessment of Payment Integrity operations and developed a future state roadmap for health plans. This roadmap encompasses critical capabilities such as data analytics and predictive modeling, with the aim of significantly improving claims accuracy and reducing medical expenses. Chad’s innovative approach positions health plan clients to achieve an 8% – 10% reduction in overall medical expenses.

During his tenure as Sr. Director at L.A. Care Health Plan, Chad managed a large team while overseeing claims operations, configuration of claims processing platforms, and Payment Integrity teams. His leadership resulted in the automation of claims payment processes, driving auto-adjudication rates from 70% to over 90%. Chad also refocused the organization to enhance claims quality, achieving an increase from 98.0% to over 99.5%.

Furthermore, in his role as a Finance Director at Optum, Chad played a pivotal role in negotiating agreements and optimizing operational savings. They were instrumental in achieving additional productivity and profitability through innovative pricing models and negotiations. His extensive experience, makes him a seasoned, results-driven leader in healthcare operations and payment integrity.
