Job Description
A leading organization is seeking a Backend Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to develop and support cloud-based platforms and backend infrastructure that enable data, analytics, and AI solutions. This position focuses on building scalable services, enhancing platform reliability, and maintaining secure cloud environments while partnering with engineering, data, and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure within AWS environments.
- Develop production-grade backend services, automation tools, and platform capabilities using Python.
- Build, configure, and optimize Databricks environments that support data engineering and AI workloads.
- Implement infrastructure automation, continuous integration and continuous delivery processes, monitoring solutions, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing backend platforms and services.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve scalability, availability, and operational efficiency.
- Support security, compliance, and data protection requirements within a regulated environment.
- Contribute to platform enhancements that improve support for analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives.
Required Experience and Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, AWS, and Databricks in production environments.
- Experience building and supporting cloud-native backend applications and distributed systems.
- Proficiency with infrastructure automation, containerization technologies, and cloud monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, system reliability, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Experience developing and maintaining backend infrastructure that supports data or AI workloads.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and data-focused teams.
- Experience working within healthcare or other regulated industries is preferred.
- Exposure to artificial intelligence or machine learning platforms is a plus.
