JOB SUMMARY: DAM Administrator

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and proactive Digital Asset Management (DAM) Administrator to operationalize, functionally maintain, and promote our enterprise Digital Asset Management solution. This role involves being the lead in system usage, stakeholder support, metadata management, user training and configuration, and asset management. The successful candidate will collaborate with business users and technical teams to enhance operational processes and ensure the DAM system’s success.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Provide ongoing training and support to business teams and users for efficient asset submission and management within the DAM system.
  • Directly support DAM users with challenges including access, roles configuration, reporting, uploads, asset and metadata editing.
  • Create, communicate, and enforce processes and procedures for user roles and permissions alignment with business processes as a DAM Administrator.
  • Monitor DAM usage/performance, gather user feedback, and provide quarterly reports on system, processes, and training improvements.
  • Establish and support “best practices” for system improvement, user experience enhancement, and effective asset management.
  • Collaborate closely with users and business stakeholders to ensure file upload consistency, metadata accuracy, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with technical teams and vendors for system issue escalation and decision-making on functionality enhancements or policy/process modifications.

QUALIFICATIONS: DAM Administrator

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Archive Management, Communications, Information Systems, Marketing Asset Management, Database Administration, or related fields is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in administering Digital Asset Management capabilities for an enterprise.
  • Extensive experience with Digital Asset Management platforms, preferably Acquia Widen DAM, and the ability to search and report on assets based on metadata and other DAM attributes.
  • Strong background in digital asset management, including the application of metadata, taxonomy design, and metadata structure development.
  • Skilled in data entry with a high degree of accuracy and expertise in the DAM’s metadata control mechanisms.
  • Proven ability to establish and enforce standards via the DAM’s governance model (Roles and Permissions).

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: DAM Administrator

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Visio/Miro.
  • Advanced knowledge of Acquia/Widen DAM is highly preferred.
  • Highly organized, results-oriented, and possesses excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders and users, both face-to-face and virtually.
