JOB SUMMARY: Database Expert

As a Database Expert, you will be a key player in shaping and managing our data infrastructure. Your role will involve advanced database design, performance optimization, and strategic oversight to ensure our database systems meet the highest standards of efficiency, reliability, and security. You will collaborate with senior leadership and technical teams to drive data-driven decision-making and implement best practices in database management.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Advanced Database Design: Lead the design and implementation of complex database architectures and models. Develop scalable solutions to meet the needs of high-volume and high-performance applications.
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct in-depth performance analysis and tuning of database systems. Implement advanced optimization techniques, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and resource allocation.
  • Strategic Oversight: Provide strategic guidance on database technologies and best practices. Assess and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance database operations.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Ensure the highest levels of data security and compliance with industry regulations. Implement and enforce robust security measures and access controls.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, including performance degradation, data corruption, and system failures. Provide expert-level support and guidance to resolve critical incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Extensive experience as a Database Expert or Senior Database Engineer with a track record of managing complex database systems and projects.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with a variety of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server). Expertise in NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
