Director of Product Design (Enterprise Platforms and UX Leadership)

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end product design for complex, enterprise platforms, covering research, strategy, and hands-on execution
  • Define and maintain a clear design vision that improves usability, consistency, and scalability across large product ecosystems
  • Drive user-centered design practices by conducting research, mapping user journeys, and identifying opportunities to enhance experiences
  • Design intuitive interaction models, workflows, and user interfaces for sophisticated web-based and platform-driven applications
  • Develop high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and design assets using tools such as Figma and Miro
  • Apply systems thinking to connect workflows, data models, and user interactions across multiple products and teams
  • Contribute to and evolve a global design system, building reusable components and patterns that support consistency across platforms
  • Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to co-create solutions aligned with both user needs and technical constraints
  • Operate in a consulting-style environment by quickly onboarding to new teams, delivering immediate value, and adapting to shifting priorities
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to designers, elevating design quality and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Communicate design strategies and decisions to stakeholders through clear storytelling and visual presentations
  • Ensure design output reflects both strategic direction and high-quality execution, maintaining a hands-on approach at a leadership level

Required experience and skills

  • 10 or more years of experience in product design, including significant experience as a senior or lead individual contributor
  • Proven ability to design for complex systems or enterprise platforms with multiple workflows, integrations, and stakeholders
  • Strong expertise in user-centered design, including research, journey mapping, interaction design, and interface design
  • Advanced proficiency with design tools such as Figma and Miro
  • Experience contributing to or leading design systems and reusable component libraries
  • Strong systems thinking skills, with the ability to simplify complex requirements into clear and intuitive user experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams as equal partners
  • Experience working in dynamic environments that require rapid onboarding, adaptability, and context switching across teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Demonstrated mentorship and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and elevate other designers
  • Portfolio showcasing hands-on design work, including process, decision-making, and measurable impact on complex product experiences
