Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update core infrastructure components, including servers, virtualization platforms, and network equipment.
  • Administer enterprise infrastructure and network environments to support performance, security, and reliability.
  • Monitor system and network alerts and respond to incidents, including participation in after-hours support activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and network issues in coordination with technical teams.
  • Manage firewall policies, load balancing, and network segmentation across enterprise environments.
  • Automate routine administrative and operational tasks using scripting and configuration tools.
  • Perform root cause analysis to reduce recurring incidents and improve system stability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Support operating system upgrade initiatives, including Windows Server migrations and updates.

Required experience and skills

  • 5 or more years of experience in network engineering with hands-on work across enterprise infrastructure and network operations.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server upgrade projects, including migrations from Windows Server 2012 to newer operating system versions.
  • Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, dynamic routing protocols, VLANs, VPNs, and network security practices.
  • Experience with Cisco networking equipment, Palo Alto firewalls, and Meraki wireless technologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot VoIP and video conferencing issues at the network level.
  • Experience working with ISP services, connectivity troubleshooting, and service management.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, PCNSA, PCNSE, or VCP are highly desirable.
