Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing maintenance, patching, and updates across infrastructure and network components, including servers, virtualization platforms, and network hardware.
  • Administer and support enterprise network and infrastructure environments to ensure performance, availability, and security.
  • Monitor system and network alerts and participate in an on-call rotation to respond to incidents, including after-hours support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
  • Implement and maintain firewall rules, load balancing configurations, and network segmentation strategies.
  • Automate routine operational tasks using scripting and configuration tools to improve efficiency and consistency.

Required experience and skills

  • Five or more years of hands-on experience in network engineering within an enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts, including routing protocols, VLANs, VPNs, and network security best practices.
  • Experience working with enterprise networking and security technologies, including routing and switching platforms, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot network-level voice and video conferencing issues.
  • Experience working with internet service providers, connectivity troubleshooting, and service management.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms and exposure to public cloud environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
