JOB SUMMARY: IT Infrastructure Manager

We are seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee the planning, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of our IT infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring operational excellence and the standardization and optimization of our IT hardware and system availability around the clock. You will lead the modernization, standardization, and cybersecurity agenda while implementing an ITSM-based support model to meet the demands of an automated environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: IT Infrastructure Manager

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the head of IT regarding the infrastructure platform, leading the IT infrastructure team.
  • Implement and manage IT infrastructure changes in an operating facility.
  • Drive operational excellence, service process optimization, and standardization across the company.
  • Ensure IT service delivery for end-user computing, network, and compute is up to par.
  • Collaborate with regional and global experts to standardize local hardware platforms, aligning with global standards.
  • Drive cybersecurity compliance and excellence in alignment with the regional strategy.
  • Develop and manage the budget for running and maintaining the infrastructure.
  • Manage and mitigate all risks associated with the infrastructure.
  • Ensure robust business continuity processes and disaster recovery plans are in place.
  • Serve as the primary contact with local and regional vendors to achieve agreed SLAs.
  • Share good practices and leverage cross-synergies with platform counterparts from the region.
  • Build up excellent IT service management and IT infrastructure skills and expertise within the local IT team.
  • Manage stakeholders across platform teams and functions to reach agreement on conflicting priorities.
  • Implement and maintain standard 24×7 network and automation monitoring services.
  • Advise on technology innovations in the network and virtualization domain.
  • Optimize the Data Center and server management process for high availability to meet automation demands.
  • Provide guidance to the automation team for hardware fixes configured from the infrastructure landscape.
  • Lead and manage troubleshooting calls for major incidents to restore business operations as soon as possible.
  • Lead the development of root cause analysis for major incidents and ensure deployment of identified countermeasures.
  • Define the tech portfolio modernization, infrastructure simplification, and applications rationalization with the IT manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: IT Infrastructure Manager

  • University or higher vocational degree and certification in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of Infrastructure management and complex network platforms implementation experience, with a preference for automation component experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of related project handling/coordination experience and process documentation.
  • CCNA certification is a must; CCIE is preferred.
  • Operational Technology hardware and integration experience is essential.
  • Deep knowledge of Cisco hardware, implementation, and support.
  • Understanding of PLCs: Siemens, TIA Portal, ladder logic, ST, FBD, SFC.
  • Knowledge of platforms, networking, and protocols (TCP/IP, Profibus, ProfiNET, ASI, CAN-Bus).
  • Familiarity with application lifecycle and IT Service Management concepts.
  • ITIL V4 Certification is recommended.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement/LEAN/Six Sigma principles.

  • Experience with Agile principles and methods, applying WOW (Lean) standards and tooling, managing demands, and problem-solving.
