JOB SUMMARY: IT Project Manager

We are looking for an IT Project Manager to support complex projects/products and programs by leveraging their extensive knowledge, skills, and expertise in various organizational and implementation methodologies. The IT Project Manager will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle using established project management practices, delivering complex projects that impact multiple business areas effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Deliver complex projects and programs that impact multiple business areas as a IT Project Manager.
  • Manage project timelines, financials, risks, issues, decisions, and changes effectively.
  • Handle risk/issue escalations and drive resolution.
  • Oversee resource management in a cross-functional matrixed environment, ensuring executive level reporting and communication.
  • Establish clear project boundaries, assist in removing roadblocks, and manage the process and culture to ensure team progress and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with architecture and operations teams to manage dependencies related to systems and infrastructure.
  • Comfortably manage strong personalities and external vendor relationships, ensuring project success.

QUALIFICATIONS: IT Project Manager

  • 3-5+ years of demonstrated project management experience, with a strong preference for those with healthcare industry and technical project management background.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Expertise in developing user stories, and proficient in Jira and Confluence management.
  • Experience with technology operations processes and terminology for methodologies supporting business and technology collaboration, intake documentation, and/or handoffs.

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong project management skills with experience in both traditional waterfall and agile/sprint methodologies as a IT Project Manager.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple time-sensitive, complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and/or external vendors.
  • Technical understanding of Cloud and APIs.
  • Familiarity with the health insurance industry.
