A global organization is preparing for an enterprise initiative and is seeking an Oracle procure-to-pay functional consultant with deep functional expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite. This role focuses on assessing, designing, and harmonizing approval processes across a complex, multi-market environment.
The Oracle procure-to-pay functional consultant will work closely with finance, procurement, and technology teams to evaluate current-state approval models and support the development of standardized, future-state frameworks. Success in this role requires strong functional knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across regions.
Responsibilities
- Provide functional expertise across Oracle procure-to-pay processes, including purchasing, payables, and expense management.
- Configure, support, and enhance Oracle iExpense functionality.
- Design, assess, and support custom Approval Management Engine workflows, including complex approval hierarchies.
- Analyze existing approval structures across multiple markets and identify opportunities for standardization and consistency.
- Partner with finance, procurement, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into functional designs.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions and workshops to align global and regional teams on approval process design.
- Produce clear functional documentation, including process flows, design specifications, and recommendations.
- Support a structured and practical approach to harmonizing approval processes while accommodating regional requirements.
- Leverage enterprise data sources to inform future-state approval frameworks.
Required experience and skills
- Deep functional knowledge of Oracle procure-to-pay processes.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle iExpense, including configuration, support, and enhancements.
- Proven experience designing and supporting Approval Management Engine workflows.
- Experience working in highly customized Oracle E-Business Suite environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to explain functional designs clearly.
- Experience working in global or multi-entity environments.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to build alignment across finance, procurement, and technology teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with diverse teams and personalities.
