JOB SUMMARY: Senior Business Analyst

As a key member of the Sales Business Solutions team, the Senior Business Analyst: Sales is entrusted with multifaceted responsibilities pivotal for driving the success of sales-related initiatives. This role involves conducting stakeholder interviews, documenting business requirements, analyzing and translating business needs into effective solution designs, and overseeing the implementation and rollout of these solutions. The ideal candidate will excel in crafting detailed user stories, collaborating with subject matter experts and vendors for solution refinement, managing user acceptance testing, and providing comprehensive end-user training. This position calls for an adept individual in fostering cross-departmental collaboration, embodying a proactive approach, and possessing a keen ability to synthesize information from various sources to deliver end-to-end business process solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to uncover and document comprehensive business requirements.
  • Analyze and translate business needs into streamlined solution designs and workflows, creating effective user stories.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and vendors to refine solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing, manage implementation phases, and provide end-user training and ongoing support.
  • Facilitate communication and oversee rollout activities, ensuring successful adoption of new solutions.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key external and internal stakeholders, serving as a “translator” between technical and non-technical groups.
  • Identify and formulate strategies to address organizational issues, leveraging analysis to make short-term and long-term recommendations.
  • Drive and create business process documentation in both “To Be” and “As Is” formats, effectively communicating technical solutions and impacts to stakeholders as a Senior Business Analyst.
  • Partner with Project Managers to align priorities, deliverables, and milestones with business needs and project requirements.
  • Lead the development and implementation of cross-functional projects aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing satisfaction across accounts, members, brokers, and internal workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA degree required.
  • Health insurance experience is greatly preferred.
  • 7-10 years of proven Business Analysis experience with progressive responsibilities in solution development and implementation.
  • Experience leading business analysis tasks on small and complex projects, with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience managing and influencing business process redesign efforts.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Analyst best practices and tools.
  • Demonstrated success using Agile methodologies, with a proactive, curious, and problem-solving mindset to be a Senior Business Analyst.
  • Proficiency in Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Jira is essential.
  • Extensive experience in business analysis and testing efforts of multi-faceted projects, focusing on external and internal customer requirements.
