A large, regulated enterprise is seeking a senior IT process architect and analyst to support the operational and delivery maturity of an enterprise artificial intelligence program. This role focuses on documenting current‑state delivery processes, identifying bottlenecks and gaps, and helping define a streamlined, predictable pathway for AI initiatives across intake, development, and operationalization.
The position is hands‑on and execution‑oriented, working closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders to turn real delivery examples into clear process documentation, validation artifacts, and executive‑ready recommendations. The engagement is expected to begin as a short‑term assignment of approximately one to two months, with work executed under the direction of senior program leadership.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and document current‑state IT and AI delivery workflows, capturing issues, bottlenecks, and handoff challenges across intake, discovery, development, and release stages
- Design and document future‑state process flows that improve speed, predictability, and quality of AI initiative delivery
- Facilitate structured validation sessions with business and technical stakeholders to confirm problem statements, requirements, and delivery steps, including DevOps and API‑driven workflows
- Maintain and update an AI intake tracking board using project management tools to ensure requests are captured, categorized, and routed consistently
- Develop clear, executive‑ready presentations summarizing findings, risks, recommendations, and progress updates
- Act as a liaison between internal AI strategy teams and external delivery partners to align on intake processes, prioritization, and execution expectations
- Perform gap analysis across multiple tracking and reporting systems and help consolidate views into a consistent, unified process perspective
- Support the development of a prioritization and ROI framework that maps AI use cases to systems, business value, and technical readiness
- Define and track process performance indicators and support reporting on outcomes tied to recommended improvements
- Contribute to governance discussions related to intake, prioritization, stage gates, and delivery oversight
Required experience and skills
- Five or more years of experience as a business analyst or IT process analyst supporting technology initiatives
- Strong understanding of digital, artificial intelligence, and machine learning project lifecycles from intake and discovery through delivery and operationalization
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex, cross‑functional information into clear documentation and executive‑level presentations
- Experience engaging and validating requirements with both business stakeholders and technical teams
- Familiarity with agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery models, including intake and governance frameworks
- Experience working with project and workflow tools such as Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, ServiceNow, Power BI, and similar platforms
- Conceptual understanding of cloud platforms, with familiarity across services used in modern delivery pipelines
- Exposure to DevOps concepts, API‑based integrations, and SaaS integration patterns
- Ability to work independently, take direction from senior leads, and deliver structured outputs with minimal oversight
- Experience operating within healthcare, financial services, or other regulated industries
- Background in operating model design, process engineering, or continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, including comfort presenting to senior leadership
