Job Description
A leading organization is seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst to serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams within the investment management and financial services domain. This position combines business analysis, systems analysis, stakeholder engagement, and solution delivery responsibilities, requiring the ability to translate business objectives into detailed technical requirements and actionable solutions.
The ideal candidate has experience working with CRM platforms, strong analytical and SQL skills, and a proven ability to support projects from requirements gathering through implementation and user adoption.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions.
- Create functional specifications, user stories, process maps, workflows, and supporting documentation.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements for engineering and delivery teams.
- Partner with software developers, quality assurance teams, and project stakeholders to support solution design and implementation activities.
- Perform data analysis and validation using SQL to support business decision-making and project requirements.
- Coordinate testing activities, including test planning, defect tracking, user acceptance testing, and validation of business requirements.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure alignment throughout project delivery.
- Support Agile delivery processes, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and requirements management.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address business issues, risks, and dependencies.
- Drive successful implementation of solutions that meet business objectives and operational needs.
Required Experience and Skills
- Experience performing both business analysis and systems analysis functions.
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, and business process analysis.
- Ability to create user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and technical requirements.
- Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities.
- Understanding of system architectures, data flows, integrations, and technical solution design.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ability to manage relationships across business and engineering teams.
- Experience working with geographically distributed stakeholders and teams.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and consensus-building skills.
- Experience supporting Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience participating in sprint planning, backlog management, testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Ability to own initiatives from requirements definition through implementation and delivery.
Required Domain Experience
- Experience working with CRM platforms, including DealCloud, Affinity, or similar relationship management solutions.
- Knowledge of investment management, private equity, credit markets, venture capital, investment banking, or related financial services industries.
- Experience supporting data-driven analysis and reporting initiatives using SQL.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Hands-on experience with DealCloud.
- Hands-on experience with Affinity CRM.
- Experience supporting investment management, private equity, venture capital, or capital markets organizations.
- Experience collaborating with teams across multiple geographic regions.
- Strong background in using data analysis to support business decisions and operational improvements.
