Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Convert existing Python-based services into Java-based microservices
- Break down complex application logic into modular, reusable services
- Build and support services related to pricing, revenue, and rebate calculations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on service design and system integration
- Ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, and performant
- Contribute to modernization efforts by transitioning legacy systems to a distributed microservices architecture
- Work effectively in an evolving technical environment with changing requirements
Required experience and skills
- 3 or more years of hands-on experience with Java development
- Strong experience with Spring Boot
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Practical experience designing and implementing microservices architectures
- Proven ability to build scalable backend systems
- Experience contributing to system modernization or large-scale application redesign
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical solutions
- Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and ambiguous technical challenges
- Availability to work Central Standard Time (CST) hours
