JOB SUMMARY: Digital Product Designer
We are on a mission to unify our design system across all digital product areas for the first time in our company’s history. As a Remote Digital Product Designer specializing in Design Systems, you will play a crucial role in this transformative journey. Partnering with design strategists, you will assess and classify existing components and design new ones for inclusion in our product libraries. Utilizing your expertise in Figma, you will quickly develop these components, ensuring they seamlessly integrate into our design system. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Partner with design strategists to classify components as common, product-specific, or brand-specific.
- Design and incorporate new components or variants into local or core product libraries.
- Utilize Figma to create components using atomic elements and auto layout, providing precise specs to engineers for React development.
- Facilitate collaborative sessions with cross-functional team members as a Digital Product Designer.
- Clearly present and communicate design solutions and rationale.
- Actively participate in critiques and share new learnings.
- Propose innovative processes to enhance team efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of experience in product user interface design.
- A strong blend of UI, visual design, and interaction design skills.
- Experience with developing or working within design systems or UI kits.
- Collaborative, highly organized, with meticulous attention to detail.
- A portfolio showcasing exceptional design craftsmanship and versatility to be a Digital Product Designer.
