JOB SUMMARY: Strategic Financial Product Manager

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Financial Product Manager to lead the planning, marketing, and customer engagement activities for our product. The ideal candidate will manage the product through its lifecycle, gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, and define the product vision. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, this role aims to deliver products that meet both market needs and company goals. The Product Manager will also work with sales, marketing, and support teams to drive revenue and ensure customer satisfaction, aligning product and marketing efforts with the company’s strategic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Define and communicate the product strategy, vision, and roadmap, engaging with development and architectural leads for roadmap development as a Strategic Financial Product Manager.
  • Conduct regular customer engagements to clarify product direction and strategy.
  • Partner with the application development lead/manager to prioritize the backlog and devise solutions to customer challenges.
  • Become an expert on the competition and communicate the company’s competitive position.
  • Develop core product positioning, messaging, and marketing strategies.
  • Conduct product demos for customers and prospects.
  • Equip sales and training teams with product knowledge for effective client interactions.
  • Lead press and analyst briefings, contributing to a comprehensive go-to-market strategy.
  • Evangelize the product internally and externally, representing the company at various industry events.
  • Manage vendor relationships and collaborate with other Product Managers for a cohesive platform strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4–8 years of experience in financial services software, either as a supplier or user.
  • A well-rounded understanding of financial advisors’ and their clients’ needs.
  • Proven track record of creating and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Strong technical aptitude to contribute to discussions with engineering teams.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Direct experience working with customers/clients.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results within timelines.
  • Understanding of Scrum concepts and Agile principles.
  • Confidence in presenting new solutions to colleagues and management.
