AI Product Builder and Technical Product Owner

Job Description

A leading organization is seeking an AI Product Builder and Technical Product Owner to develop AI-powered search, knowledge management, and information discovery solutions. This position combines product ownership, software development, user engagement, and AI-assisted delivery to transform ambiguous business challenges into adopted solutions.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder with strong product instincts, technical fluency, and experience delivering software from concept through production. This individual will work closely with users, stakeholders, and engineering teams while leveraging AI-enabled development tools to accelerate delivery and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

Product Discovery and Ownership

• Lead initiatives from problem identification through solution delivery and adoption.
• Work directly with users and stakeholders to understand business needs and uncover opportunities.
• Define product priorities based on user feedback, business objectives, and measurable outcomes.
• Make independent decisions regarding product direction, scope, and solution design.
• Own product outcomes throughout the full lifecycle.

Solution Design and Delivery

• Design, prototype, build, and refine software solutions that address user needs.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams on architecture, implementation, testing, and release activities.
• Drive the development of AI-powered search, knowledge management, and information retrieval capabilities.
• Support product growth from early adoption through broader organizational usage.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with user expectations.

AI-Assisted Development

• Utilize AI coding and development tools as a core component of the delivery process.
• Evaluate, validate, and improve AI-generated implementations before release.
• Apply sound technical judgment when selecting, reviewing, and modifying AI-generated solutions.
• Optimize workflows through the effective use of AI-enabled development practices.
• Remain accountable for the quality, performance, and maintainability of delivered solutions.

User and Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate challenges into practical solutions.
• Communicate product direction, tradeoffs, and implementation decisions clearly.
• Gather feedback, measure adoption, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Partner with technical teams while maintaining ownership of product outcomes.

Data-Driven Decision Making

• Monitor product performance using usage metrics, adoption data, and user feedback.
• Evaluate the success and impact of delivered solutions.
• Use evidence-based prioritization and product planning practices.
• Recommend enhancements based on measurable outcomes and observed user behavior.

Required Experience and Skills

Product Leadership

• Demonstrated experience owning products from discovery through delivery.
• Experience transforming ambiguous requirements into working solutions.
• Proven ability to launch new products and scale existing solutions.
• Strong decision-making, prioritization, and execution capabilities.
• High level of ownership, initiative, and self-direction.

Software Development and Technical Fluency

• Experience building and delivering software across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
• Ability to move effectively between product strategy and technical implementation.
• Understanding of software development processes, testing, code reviews, and release management.
• Ability to participate meaningfully in architecture and implementation discussions.

AI Development Experience

• Regular practical use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar technologies.
• Experience building applications using AI-enabled development workflows.
• Strong understanding of the strengths, limitations, and risks of AI-generated solutions.
• Ability to review, validate, explain, and improve AI-generated code and implementations.

User and Stakeholder Management

• Experience working directly with users and business stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience presenting recommendations and influencing decision-making.

Analytics and Product Measurement

• Python development experience.
