Full Stack Python Software Engineer

Job Description

A leading organization is seeking Full Stack Python Software Engineers to support the development of modern data-driven applications and platform solutions. This position combines application development, data engineering, cloud technologies, and software quality practices to deliver scalable and reliable systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience building full-stack applications, working with large-scale data platforms, and developing solutions in cloud environments. Candidates with experience in healthcare or health technology environments are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using modern development frameworks and tools.
• Develop and enhance user-facing features using React or Vue.
• Create and support scalable backend services using Python.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested software solutions.

Data and Platform Engineering

• Develop solutions that integrate with SQL-based data systems.
• Work with Databricks, Snowflake, and related data platforms to support application and analytical workflows.
• Build and maintain data processing components and integrations.
• Support efficient data movement, transformation, and management across systems.

Cloud and Distributed Systems

• Develop and support applications deployed within AWS environments.
• Integrate services and applications with event-streaming technologies such as Kafka.
• Contribute to scalable and reliable cloud-based architectures.

Automation and Quality Engineering

• Implement automated testing strategies to improve application reliability.
• Develop automation solutions that support engineering efficiency and software quality.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development best practices.

Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in technical discussions and solution planning activities.
• Contribute to cross-functional teams delivering software and platform enhancements.

Required Experience and Skills

• Strong full-stack software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python development.
• Strong SQL and database development experience.
• Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Experience building front-end applications using React and/or Vue.
• Experience developing applications and services in AWS environments.
• Knowledge of Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies.
• Experience with automation frameworks and software testing practices.
• Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Experience working within healthcare, health technology, or related regulated environments.
• Master's degree from a United States educational institution.
• Experience designing and supporting data-intensive applications.
• Familiarity with modern software engineering methodologies and development practices.
• Experience working with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
