JOB SUMMARY: Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced ML Engineer to join our team, focusing on building and deploying predictive systems within a production environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machine learning model development using Python, practical knowledge of data pipelines, and experience in crafting production-ready ML models in Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with Agile SDLC methodology is preferred. This role requires a mix of problem-solving skills, a commitment to delivery, excellent communication, and a collaborative spirit in a fast-paced team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Explore and develop use cases for ML model development based on business needs.
  • Productionize Azure ML models, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and create new value.
  • Devise strategies for model performance improvement based on feature performance and stakeholder feedback as a Machine Learning Engineer.
  • Support the development and refinement of shared libraries for data scientists.
  • Optimize ML models for deployment focusing on sustainability and performance.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of metadata catalogs, A/B testing frameworks, and associated toolkits.
  • Work cross-functionally within the AI/ML team to drive process improvements and deliver next-level enhancements.
  • Collaborate with other functions to drive a long-term roadmap, improve capabilities, and broadly share results and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an enterprise setting.
  • Experience with deep learning, NLP toolsets, including new generative AI technologies like Azure OpenAI and ChatGPT.
  • Knowledge of common MLOps pipeline patterns and associated technologies.
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras to be a Machine Learning Engineer.
  • Understanding of production systems, sustainable ML model deployments, and containerization for scaling production models.
  • Fluency in Python; familiarity with production pipeline coding in Java, Go, or Scala.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Science, or related field is preferred.

Preferred:

  • Experience with generative AI technologies and Azure OpenAI deployment.
  • Agile methodologies and frameworks.
  • Azure cloud and Azure Machine Learning expertise.
