Job Description
A large enterprise organization is seeking a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to join a newly established engineering team responsible for maintaining and modernizing a critical internal platform used to manage enterprise contract and billing data.
This opportunity focuses on both stabilizing an existing desktop-based application and guiding its transition to a modern, cloud-based web architecture. The position combines hands-on development, production support, and strategic modernization work within a small, experienced team environment.
Responsibilities
System support and enhancement
- Maintain and improve a legacy desktop application built with .NET technologies
- Diagnose and resolve production issues while improving performance and stability
- Refactor existing code to improve maintainability and structure
- Support incremental modernization efforts including testing and modularization
Application modernization and development
- Contribute to the migration of a legacy system into a scalable web-based architecture
- Design and build applications using .NET, C#, Angular, and Azure
- Develop APIs and services to replace desktop-based functionality
- Rework existing business logic into reusable, service-based components
- Collaborate with engineers to define and follow shared architectural standards
Engineering excellence and innovation
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality
- Enhance development workflows through automation and best practices
- Contribute to testing strategies and modern software design patterns
Required Experience and Skills
- Strong experience with .NET and C# development
- Proven ability to build modern web applications
- Experience with Angular and JavaScript or TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Knowledge of application architecture and design patterns
- Ability to work across both legacy and modern systems
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-changing engineering environment
Preferred skills
- Experience with legacy desktop applications such as WinForms
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services and architecture
- Experience with Entity Framework and LINQ
- Exposure to AI-based development tools
- Experience modernizing or migrating legacy systems
- Understanding of clean architecture or modular design approaches
- Familiarity with UI component libraries such as Telerik
- Experience with automated testing practices
