Senior Machine Learning Engineer – LLM and MLOps

Job Description

A leading organization is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to develop, deploy, and support production machine learning and generative AI solutions. This role focuses on Python-based ML engineering, Databricks, MLOps practices, large language model applications, and scalable AI system delivery.

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will support the full model lifecycle, including experimentation, deployment, monitoring, observability, and ongoing optimization of AI-enabled applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning and generative AI solutions using Python and Databricks.
• Develop and maintain MLOps workflows, including experiment tracking, model registry management, deployment processes, and model monitoring.
• Build and support retrieval-augmented generation applications and LLM orchestration workflows.
• Integrate commercial and open-source large language model APIs into production-ready applications.
• Implement observability, performance monitoring, and evaluation frameworks for LLM-based systems.
• Partner with engineering and data teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable AI solutions.
• Support model lifecycle management practices that improve deployment consistency, system performance, and operational visibility.

Required Experience and Skills

• 5–8 years of machine learning engineering experience.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and MLflow.
• Experience with MLOps, model deployment, and model lifecycle management.
• Experience building applications using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation architectures, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience managing and integrating large language model APIs.
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning system performance, monitoring, and observability.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration frameworks is preferred.
• Experience with vector databases and retrieval systems is preferred.
• Experience deploying machine learning solutions in AWS or Azure is preferred.
