JOB SUMMARY: Senior Manager of Quality Assurance & Release Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Quality Assurance & Release Management to lead our efforts in ensuring the highest quality standards for our systems and automation testing processes. This role involves comprehensive management of testing, quality assurance, and release management activities to ensure timely and high-quality software releases within defined budgetary limits and agreed quality standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating between various functional teams, managing release schedules, and overseeing the development and implementation of quality control plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Measure and monitor work progress as a Senior Manager of Quality Assurance & Release Management through KPIs to achieve outputs in defined budgetary limits and quality standards.
  • Coordinate communication and release details between different functional teams.
  • Manage work planning, team member allocation, and negotiate production release schedules.
  • Develop deployment and test implementation strategies, including creating run books for releases and automation technology.
  • Ensure clear understanding and communication of requirements across dependent workstreams.
  • Manage sandbox and lower environments for testing readiness.
  • Validate release notes and lead defect resolution in lower environments.
  • Define and meet Quality Assurance SLAs through appropriate KPIs.
  • Manage Quality Assurance service vendors and consultants to ensure they meet expectations.
  • Competent in Quality Control and Test planning for Business Systems and Operational Technology.
  • Develop, approve, and communicate crucial release plans and changes through mature Quality Control plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Systems & Automation testing, Quality Assurance, and Release management, including automated testing experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of project handling/project management and process documentation experience.
  • Engineering degree and certification in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.
  • Experienced in Release Management, Version control, and rollouts.

SPECIAL SKILLS,KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Senior Manager of Quality Assurance & Release Management

  • Strong understanding and competence in automation & systems application implementation.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement/LEAN/Six Sigma.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • High organizational skills, punctuality, and persistence with strong internal client service skills.
  • Advanced data analysis skills and experience with Agile principles and methods.
  • Proficient in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Test planning & Defect management software tools and applications.
  • ITIL lifecycle knowledge with certification preferred.
