JOB SUMMARY: Backend Developer

We are seeking a Backend Developer to join our dynamic team, focused on the design, development, and implementation of state-of-the-art applications that drive our multi-billion-dollar business. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • As a Backend Developer you will lead the coding, testing, analysis, design, definition, development, and implementation of business applications within our S&BE department.
  • Act as both an individual contributor and technical leader within a product team.
  • Collaborate with team leaders, IT colleagues, consulting partners, and other stakeholders to evaluate product requirements and processes.
  • Assess available technologies and determine appropriate solution options across computing environments.
  • Design and build maintainable, evolvable, and highly testable systems.
  • Engage in knowledge sharing within teams and the broader organization about the latest development technologies, tools, and implementation patterns.

QUALIFICATIONS: for a Backend Developer

  • 7+ years of application development experience with large-scale business applications in agile product development environments.
  • 2+ years of technical leadership experience.
  • Strong experience with C# or Java, .NET, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
  • Proficiency in relational database modeling, design, query construction, and optimization using Oracle or similar RDBMS.
  • Experience in developing database-stored procedures using T-SQL or PL-SQL.
  • Skilled in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and using Object-Relational tools.
  • Knowledge in user interface development using ASP.Net, Angular, or React.
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA, and in creating visualizations with Power BI or other BI tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a relevant field. Advanced degrees and certifications are desirable.
