JOB SUMMARY: Data Architect
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the organization’s data architecture, designing and building data models, and ensuring data integration and integrity. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- As a Data Architect you will design, build, and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams to support the organization’s data architecture.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
- Identify and address data gaps and inconsistencies, developing strategies to resolve them.
- Establish and implement data standards, best practices, and integration strategies.
- Oversee the data integration process, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues, including performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges.
- Evaluate, pilot, and implement emerging technologies to enhance data architecture and solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS: for a Data Architect
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in data solutioning, architecture, design, and development.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Solution/Data Architect on cloud platforms, with AWS preferred.
- Extensive experience with ETL/ELT design and development using tools such as Talend, Informatica, Databricks, or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Proficient in database architecture with relational SQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
- Minimum 2 years of experience with serverless architecture on AWS platforms, including Athena, Glue, EC2, Lambda, and Kinesis.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API and service-oriented architectures.
- Knowledge of DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery technologies.
- AWS Solution Architect certification (associate or above) is highly desirable.
